The History Of Chanel Tweed Jacket

Mademoiselle  Chanel was first introduced to the tweed men's jacket when she was in Scotland, Many years after that, specifically in 1954 when women's fashion was all about corsets and full skirts, Gabrielle Chanel introduced men's tweed jacket as women's jacket. And from that date till today Chanel Tweed Jacket became a classic piece that never go out of style.
Although the first jacket was in black, and was worn with a matching skirt, the creative director of Chanel Karl Lagerfeld cut it, dyed it, bedazzled it, paired it with jeans, leather pants ,swimsuits, you name it. With all the transformations the iconic jacket that is now 60 years old is always in fashion.
